Hard cover, 160 pages, full color, looks awesome. I've only flipped through it so far, but it looks great. Tons of lore and details surrounding the world, the tech, the ships, the aliens, and more. Includes early concept models and art, uniform details, room layouts, etc...If you are a fan of the show, then you absolutely need this book. It is everything I was hoping it would be, and more. Now, if only a convention would happen so I can get it signed by the entire cast...Today is a good day to read. So, replicate your favorite drink, or edible. Relax, crack open this book, and let's get flat.
So beautiful in person! I am blown away by the amount of detail that went into this hardcover book. It is 160 pages of behind the scenes schematics, special effects, costume design, character backgrounds and it even delves deeper into certain episodes and guest appearances. I can't wait to read through this book again and again.
A beautiful book with a wealth of information about all aspects of the show. Congrats to Seth for bringing back to TV a science fiction show that brings back the humanity of a promising future for mankind ( mixed with some wonderful humor). Despite all the negative critic reviews this show has spawned a new generation of fans who miss the classic Star Trek and The Next Generation episodes that had real substance and heart. The book provides some great insights and you can see Seth's love for Star Trek with a new show that has had some great topics and surprising humor. I hope this show grows to have a many seasons with a big fan following.
Photography is excellent. The organization of the book is superb! They take you through the show itself, the Orville universe, the ship (room by room), the cast, and some of the aliens and their technologies. Easy and pleasant to read. If you like the show, you should really like the book.

This behind-the-scenes look at the show is a lot of fun to read - and absolutely stunning. What it isn't is a comprehensive setting almanac, and that's a possible issue for some. Still, the major elements of the setting are all addressed, along with good stills of all the cast in uniform, some comments from the castmembers about their characters, and lots of behind the scenes photos.
I could not put this book down and I read the whole thing the very first day. I enjoyed the Orville show, but this book made me appreciate it even more. The book covers the intricate sets, giant orchestra for the score, amazing writers and directors, and so much more. The book is packed with high quality images.
Awesome coffee table book for Orville fans! Full of behind the scenes details and lots of high quality photos, this is a must have book for any serious fan of Seth MacFarlane's TV series The Orville!
