I bought this because I did a search for "fact books for tweens" on Amazon. Sadly, I don't find this book appropriate for gifting to my 11 year old son. It has an extensive sextchapter including orgasm, masturbation. In addition, this book has a political agenda woven into nearly every chapter. I was going to cut out the sex chapter and still give it to him, but too much of the book is victim mentality and smut. Disappointed.
Fun book of odd bits of information I plan to give my teenage grandson for Christmas. I read enough of the book to know he'll get a kick out of the various items included. Kids these days with their phones are used to 'sound bites' of data and seem more likely to pick up a book that offers short bursts of information. Encouraging the habit of picking up a book is a good thing. Later in life when things settle into a slower routine, the habit will be there.
This book was chock full of interesting facts. It wasn't a rehash of old items I'd seen before, either. It was full of interesting, new information that came as a surprise, or made me laugh. It was well organized, in a very nice format. I enjoyed reading it, and was sad to reach the end.
Not weird info. Mostly common knowledge stuff. Not bad just nothing out there like the title suggests
This one of the coolest books to leave laying around on the coffee table, side table or a lot of people do their reading in a smaller room sometimes. It is full of interesting stuff, I love it!
This book was great. I love weird facts about stuff and this differently gave me some interesting facts. I would recommend this to any one that likes weird facts.
I have managed to incorporate many of the facts in this book into conversations, which makes me sound much more erudite than I really am.
This book is full of so many amazing facts I did not know. It is a fun read and great reference for some trivia
